Introduction

What began as a childhood hobby in the 1980s has become a cross-generational venture.

Rediscovering my old collection reignited a passion—and opened the door to build something meaningful with my son.

I bring decades of sales and marketing experience; Jake brings digital savvy and entrepreneurial drive. Together, we’re creating something unique in the sports card world.

His influence continues to grow, connecting with collectors, flipping with purpose, and fueling real momentum.

We’re not just building a collection—we’re building a brand rooted in family, connections, and love for the game.

And we’re excited to share that journey with card collectors across the country.

Our Card Story

“Junk-Wax Era”

Like so many, my journey as a sports card collector began in the early 1980s, a time when collecting was driven by pure passion—opening wax packs, trading with friends, and chasing the thrill of discovering hidden gems.

The best part of collecting, though, wasn’t just the thrill of the hunt—it was the joy of carefully sliding each card into those 9-pocket plastic sheets, page by page, building out binders filled with my favorite players.

Growing Up

There was something magical about filling 9-card pages with legends like Mattingly, Jordan, Griffey Jr., Ripken Jr., Aikman, and Emmitt. Each card told a story—each binder, a time capsule of my childhood.

My most treasured card?

The 1984 Donruss Don Mattingly rookie—a Christmas gift from my parents and still one of the most meaningful I’ve ever received.

That single card sparked a lifelong passion for collecting and still represents everything I love about the hobby: nostalgia, connection, and pure joy.

Priorities

Like many collectors, life, family and career eventually took priority and collecting cards became secondary.

Although I would buy and open a few packs each year, my original collection sat dormant for years—until COVID-19.

For millions of “old-school” collectors, the pandemic offered a rare window to dust it off.  It provided the time and focus to reconnect with the hobby I once loved.

A New Generation

What started as a way to reconnect with my old collection quickly became something more.

We built a shared passion—father and son—rooted in sports, strategy, and a digital edge.

Jake dove in, learning to research, evaluate, and connect with collectors worldwide.

I brought my business experience to help him build a solid foundation—teaching him how to structure operations, spot trends, and shape a purpose-driven brand.

Today, he’s a trusted voice in the hobby, blending business smarts with digital fluency to help inspire the next generation of collectors.

Beyond Just Collecting

Jake connects monthly with collectors, hobby veterans, and industry insiders—building a loyal following through live sales, trades, and brand collabs.

His strategic approach to buying, selling, and reinvesting has turned his collection into a respected, profitable venture.

While excelling in school and sports, he still makes time for major shows and events—growing his network and deepening his knowledge.

Blending generational passion with entrepreneurial drive, Jake is turning a hobby into something truly meaningful.

40 Years Later and Just Getting Started!

It’s been an incredible journey—transforming a legacy hobby through a new generation and merging old-school knowledge with next-gen digital savvy.

Watching Jake apply modern tools to a decades-old passion has been both inspiring and a natural continuation of what I began over 40 years ago.

The future is bright, and I’m eager to see how far we can grow together, as a father and son team, with the support of my wife and our family.
